I guess it’s a bit bold of me to announce that I have such a fun empty nest when many people struggle with this transition in their lives. This nest is not perfect by any means; however, I did pick the right guy and the right dog to accompany me on this journey.

I’ve traveled to 39 US States, 15 National Parks and 17 Countries. I hope to keep adding to that list! I’ve been in NC the past two decades, but have lived all over the country and abroad when my husband was in the Army.

Now that our two children are grown, we have more time to travel. I’m a nerd and I like the process of planning explorations almost as much as taking the trips themselves! I always try to have a variety of activities and find unique, off the beaten path experiences locals recommend. Some of our trips are budget conscious and dog friendly, other trips are more upscale. Just about all travels include sampling local breweries!
